Super BIPT, CAS No 68955-22-6, is a titanium alkoxide, butyl-isopropyl titanate. BIPT is used in a variety of industrial applications e.g., as an esterification and transesterification catalyst, as an olefin polymerization catalyst and as a crosslinking agent for hydroxylic compounds. BIPT also finds application in organic synthesis.
BITP is colorless to pale yellow liquid. BIPT reacts with water to release n-butyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol and hydrated titanium oxides. |
